Use of this website

This website provides information about guitar tuition offered by Fretwork Guitar Tuition, including lesson formats, teaching approach, and how to submit an enquiry. You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of it, or interfere with its normal operation — including scraping pages at volume, injecting code, or using automated tools that place unreasonable load on the server. Where a page offers a route to submit an enquiry, please use the form as intended rather than sending repeated duplicate messages.

Practical note

Reading lesson pages, printing a style overview, or sending one enquiry is normal, welcome use. If something on the site looks broken, tell us through the Contact & Enquiries page rather than working around it.

Enquiries and lesson arrangements

Submitting an enquiry does not create a contract for tuition. It is a request for information. Any lesson arrangement is agreed separately between you and the studio, including the format, schedule, and fees, which are discussed directly and are not published on this website. Nothing on this site constitutes an offer capable of acceptance.

In practice this means: you send the form with your goals and availability, the studio replies with what it can offer, and you both decide whether to go ahead. The reply is where lesson format, number of sessions, and any cancellation or rescheduling arrangements are set out. Until that reply is agreed in writing, no booking exists and no commitment is made on either side.

An enquiry is

A request for information about lessons and availability. Honest and free of charge.

It is not

A confirmed slot, a standing arrangement, or an agreement of terms and fees.

Arrangements are agreed directly with the studio, then confirmed in writing before anything begins.

Website content

The content on this site is provided for general information about guitar tuition. While reasonable care is taken to keep it accurate and current, no warranty is given that every page is complete, error-free, or up to date at all times. Lesson formats, availability, and teaching arrangements may change without notice.

Where lesson pages describe an approach or a style, treat that as an outline rather than a fixed syllabus. What a learner works on in week one depends on where they are starting, what they already play, and what they want to be able to do. If a description on the site does not match what you are looking for, say so in your enquiry and the studio will tell you honestly whether it is a fit.

Limitations of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the studio is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, where such liability cannot be excluded by law.

This clause covers the website itself — a page being unavailable, a link failing, or something published here being out of date. It does not replace or narrow your statutory rights as a consumer, and it does not apply to anything agreed separately between you and the studio once lessons are arranged.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, and other content of this website are protected by copyright and other rights. You may view and print pages for personal reference. You may not reproduce, republish, or distribute substantial parts of the site for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Quoting a short passage with a credit and a link back is fine. Copying whole lesson descriptions onto another site, or reusing the layout, is not. If you are a teacher or a school and want to reference something here, ask first through the Contact & Enquiries page and the studio will usually say yes.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always published on this page, and continued use of the website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

The revision date at the top of the page tells you when the text last changed. If a change is significant, it will be reflected here in plain wording rather than buried. Where you have an arrangement already agreed with the studio, the terms you agreed to at that point continue to apply to it unless you both agree otherwise.
